Private Lessons
The purpose of private lessons is to provide students with opportunity to have one on one lessons with the instructor in order to improve the student in certain areas of his or her game. Private lessons include an initial assessment where the instructor will determine the player's strengths and weaknesses, and then custom tailor a lesson plan to suit the player's needs.
Why should you sign up?
Students who are interested in competing in chess tournaments or who are interested in becoming better chess players are encouraged to sign up for private lessons! Private lessons allow the instructor to personalize instruction for the student and advance his or her skills. However, please keep in mind that private lessons will require that students put in a lot of hard work and dedication in order to achieve their goals. The instructor is not capable of teaching student how to be a grandmaster, the student must be active in how they learn and study.
Location of Classes
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, all classes will be run VIRTUALLY, through zoom until further notice. The instructor will send the student a link prior the beginning of the lesson so that the student can join the lesson. Upon approval from local organizations, private lessons will transition into in-person upon discretion of the student and parent.
